Monterey > Woodstock

Don’t get me wrong, Woodstock is great but Monterey’s performers are great too. I’ll give Woodstock Santana.  Santana was mind blowing.  And everyone remembers Hendrix’s set but I thought he was better at Monterey where he was still a nobody in the US and just blew everyone away.

Just think of Monterey:  Steve Miller, the Animals, Mamas and the Papas, Canned Heat, Quicksilver Messenger Service, and it just goes on.

Woodstock had some crazy performers too:  Sweetwater, Santana, CCR, and everyone else.

I like both, just like Monterey a little better.

Simon and Garfunkel performed at Monterey, which makes it infinitely better than Woodstock.  Even though Woodstock had CSNY.  But S&G > CSNY.

Still in recovery mode from last Saturday (world record for longest hangover?), I’ve spent the last few nights at home.  I’m beginning to like it more and more.  And I’m actually getting work done and feeling rested.
